THE ROLE

Supporting and working alongside the public and actively supporting them to thrive and achieve their goals.

As part of a dynamic and dedicated team, as a Personal Trainer (Fitness, Sports, and Recreational Instructor), you will have the opportunity to lead the delivery and administration of physical fitness programs and evaluations for our civilian population. Additionally, you will be responsible for aiding in the delivery and execution of recreational training programs and services.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED

Education, Certifications and Licenses

College diploma or certificate in Exercise Sciences or a related field AND some years of experience in physical fitness evaluation and prescription or a related field

Current CPR and Basic First Aid qualifications

Current National Lifeguard Service (NLS) Certificate, an asset

Experience

In the delivery of fitness evaluations

In the programing of physical fitness training sessions

In the delivery of physical fitness training sessions

Competencies, Skills and Abilities

Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

English Essential

Perform moderate lifting, carrying, pulling and/or pushing (i.e. more than 10 lbs/4.5 kg but less than 50 lbs/23 kg).

The position will primarily be scheduled for work on evenings and weekends.
