THE ROLE

Under the supervision of Procurement coordinator, the Sports Store Supervisor plans, organizes and supervise sports stores activities and equipment according to established policies and regulations. They supervise employees, verify and enter employee hours into the applicable payroll program. They supervise the issuance, receipt of sports equipment and performance checks and minor maintenance on equipment. They supervise the issuance and receipt of sports equipment. They supervise performance checks and minor maintenance on equipment. They perform inventory checks, proceed with recovery and/or write-off and repair specialized equipment, as required. They verify and prepare invoices and submit paperwork for payment. They ensure approved invoices and acquisitions are processed and forwarded for payment. They use and maintain sports facility vehicles and equipment, organize the rental of vehicles for Personnel Support Programs (PSP), as required. They Control the distribution of PSP facilities keys.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED

Education, Certifications and Licenses

High school diploma AND several years of experience in a related field

Valid Drivers License (Quebec)

Valid DND 404 Military Driver’s Licence (an asset)

Experience

In the issuing of sports equipment

In the preparation and maintenance of outdoor sports facilities

In equipment maintenance/scheduling

In loss prevention

In inventory control

In record keeping/invoicing

In personnel administration

Competencies

French Essential

OTHER INFORMATION

This is an on-site position with an assigned work location.

PSP: Keep our Canadian Armed Forces operationally ready and their families and military community healthy as part of the team at Personnel Support Programs. Personnel Support Programs contributes to the operational readiness of our Canadian Armed Forces through the provision of fitness, sports, recreation and health promotion programs to military communities across Canada and members while on deployment.
