Assumption Catholic School i s located in Powell River, BC in the qat???t. region Our tight knit faith based school community enrolls approximately 120 students from Kindergarten to Grade 8 taught by our vibrant staff. JOB DESCRIPTION

Assumption School is seeking a bus driver for the 2024-2025 school year (5 hours a day, Monday to Friday, September to June) .

The successful applicant requires:

- a valid driver’s license (class 1 or 2 with air brake endorsement)

- a driver’s abstract with no more than 3 demerit points

- a clear criminal record

- excellent driving skills and habits

- the ability to read maps and navigate

- excellent teamwork abilities

- exceptional communication skills

- a positive and caring approach to students and an ability to manage student behaviour

- ability to be organized, punctual and reliable

- a willingness to work split shifts and ability to provide service for activities during the school day

- the ability to drive in a variety of road and traffic conditions

Preference will be given to candidates who:

• have a current pastoral reference that they are active in a Catholic parish

• are committed to excellence in Catholic education

• have valid First Aid certification

Compensation:

Wage - $26.00-28.00 per hour depending upon experience
