ABOUT
Archbishop Carney Regional Secondary is located in Port Coquitlam, British Columbia on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territory of the Kwikwetlem First Nation which lies within the shared territories of the Tsleil-Waututh, Katzie, Musqueam, Squamish and Sto:lo Nations. We are a vibrant school community that is centred in Christ and believes in educating the whole child. We have a variety of programs for students and staff to be involved in. These include clubs and teams in the areas of Fine Arts, Athletics and Service. Our community continues to grow and we are excited about adding new staff to our diverse group of Administrators, Teachers, Education Assistants and Support Staff.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Archbishop Carney is seeking a qualified Catholic music teacher to complete the school year in a maternity leave position. The successful candidate will be able to lead multiple school bands at both the Jr. and Sr. levels. These will include both concert and jazz bands. The successful candidate will also be expected to prepare the various bands for the spring concert and will attend the music trip to San Francisco in April. The position has the potential to extend into the next school year though that is not guaranteed.

On an on-going basis, we accept teacher applications for grade levels K to 12 for our Catholic schools throughout the Greater Vancouver Area and Powell River in beautiful British Columbia. All Catholics, non-Catholics, new education grads, and experienced teachers from across Canada are strongly encouraged to apply. Our major hiring season is in April for the following school year, but we recommend that you apply now as we receive an influx of applications.
