About this opportunity:

The Coordinator, NPI Civil Maintenance will be responsible for leading all aspects of civil maintenance and year-round operations for roads, pads, pipelines, borrow pits, drainage systems, berms, and bridges at Christina Lake. The successful candidate will supervise contractors, vendors and service providers working for NPI ensuring contractual obligations are met, including safety, regulatory, cost & schedule control, quality and change management.

  • This is a full-time employee position working a shift of 12hrs per day, 8 days on, 6 days off. Tuesday to Tuesday, rotating days, and nights.

  • Christina Lake has full-service camp facilities.

  • Depending on your place of residence and your shift rotation, bus and/or air transportation to/from site is offered from designated departure points in select locations.

  • Christina Lake is serviced by flight Hubs in Calgary and Edmonton as well as bus transportation to site from La Corey, AB. and Lac La Biche, AB.

What you’ll do:

  • Budget and expenditure management for the NPI Civil portfolio

  • Work collaboratively with Coordinator to efficiently execute all NPI work

  • Liaison with all collaborator groups on site including Maintenance, OCT, Operations and Engineering

  • Continuous improvement of practices and processes

  • Management of fuel stations, rental vendors, and site janitorial services

Who you are:

Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:

  • Legally authorized to work in Canada

  • An Alberta certified Journeyman certification in electrical or mechanical trades

  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in a mechanical, electrical or maintenance planning roles

  • Validated project management skills with a planning and scheduling background

  • Civil and road maintenance knowledge

We acknowledge the value of transferrable skills and may consider equivalent combinations of experience and education should you not meet a specific requirement.

As this position has been identified as safety sensitive, employment of a final candidate selected for this position will be conditional upon successful completion of required pre-employment medical and alcohol/drug assessments.

For this position you will be required to maintain a Class 5 driver's license, a satisfactory driving record, and adhere to the appropriate Company policies and guidelines. A driver's abstract will be one of the background checks requested in the pre-employment screening for the final candidate
