Required Qualifications :

Educational Assistant certification or Youth Care Worker Diploma

Ability and experience in working with high school students

Experience supporting students with autism

Experience working with a student who has a school-based behavior plan

Friendly in nature and sensitive to the needs of high school students

Physical ability to work with active students

Knowledge and experience with the Google Suite platform; specifically Google Classroom, Docs, Sheets, and Slides

Strong interpersonal and relationship skills, and an ability to work in a team environment

A positive and flexible attitude to change

Demonstrates a commitment to truth and reconciliation

Demonstrates a commitment to supporting diversity and inclusion

Duties may include but are not limited to the following:

Willingness to meet the health and hygiene needs of children as required

Work one on one with students and within a classroom setting

Based on needs of individual students, provide individual students with assistance in speech, motor, and language development and social and life skills

Work as part of a team in development and implementation of Individual Improvement Plan
