The Chinook School Division requires a full time (1.0 FTE) temporary teacher/principal at Butte Hutterian School beginning December 4, 2024 through June 30, 2025. Butte Hutterian School is a colony school located near the Grasslands National Park near Val Marie, SK with 19 students.
The Chinook School Division is proud to serve nearly 6,000 students in 60 schools, with over 1,000 collegial and student-centered teachers and support staff. Qualifications:
Effective interpersonal and communication skills;
Proven ability to work collaboratively and an ability to work in a team environment;
A teaching philosophy that reflects a constructivist and cooperative learning approach;
Ability to work effectively within an environment which includes developing meaningful and productive relationships with students, parents, PLC’s, professionals and community service agencies;
Demonstrated ability to connect with youth in a student-centered learning environment in addition to having an interest or willingness to connect with students outside of the classroom;
Demonstrates a commitment to truth and reconciliation
Demonstrates a commitment to supporting diversity and inclusion
A collaborative member of the educational team;
Respectful of the Hutterian culture;
Effective as a teacher in strategies that support student learning and growth.
Successful teaching experience or training;
Certified as a Teacher in good standing in Saskatchewan or the ability to be certified.
