Chinook’s Edge School Division invites applications for a part-time temporary (0.8 FTE with the potential for 1.0 FTE) Administrative Support position at École Deer Meadow School (Grades 5-8) in Olds. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing invoices for payment, recording deposits, recording school fee payments to accounts, setting up fees, forms and hot lunches in the online payment system, reviewing transactions in budget and school generated funds (SGF) and making necessary changes by journal entry. Other duties include reviewing timesheets where necessary, reviewing Division Visa cards for employees at the school and ensuring coding and receipts are correct for submission to the Division Office. Responsibilities also include reception, updating student records, general office duties, and public relations. Preference will be given to candidates with experience working with formal accounting training. Experience in the entire MS Office Suite software and Google applications are essential. Individuals will possess an excellent work ethic, written and oral communication skills, time management skills and flexibility. Prior school experience would be an asset.
