Description
The Occupational Health and Safety and Facilities Coordinator at Christ the Redeemer School Board is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of school facilities, ensuring they are safe, efficient, and well-maintained. This role encompasses compliance with health and safety standards, management of custodial staff, efficient handling of service requests, and upkeep of school grounds and playgrounds. The Coordinator also plays a key role in promoting a positive workplace culture, managing budgets, and maintaining high standards of facility management.
Daily tasks will require a variety of skills and responsibilities including but not limited to:
Manage Health and Safety Compliance including OH&S Investigations
Collaborate with Head Custodians on improving team performance
Administer Facilities Teams Service Requests
Coordinate Inventory and Asset Management workflow including Risk Management
Coordinate Facility and Grounds Maintenance
Participate in Budget Management, Cost Management and Forecasting
Coordinate Facility Events
This position involves regular site visits and inspections, requiring travel between different school locations within the district, covering a large geographical area from Oyen to Canmore. The role may require occasional evening or weekend work to manage events or address emergencies.
The successful candidate will possess a high level of computer literacy including advanced Microsoft Office skills. A certificate or training in Occupational Health and safety is preferred. Prior experience in Facility Management and participation in attending training/courses required to meet OH&S COR certification is a must.
