Position Overview:
We are seeking an exceptional Sales Professional to drive new business growth within the Federal Government’s Defence segment. In this role, you will focus on prospecting, articulating business value, building long-term relationships, and closing strategic deals within your territory. Your success will play a key role in enhancing customer experiences and achieving sales goals.
This is a hybrid Account Executive (AE) position based in Ottawa, ON.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop strategic relationships with stakeholders within the Defence industry at different organization levels to build trust, deliver value, and drive account growth.
  • Engage clients to understand their business and technical requirements, particularly in Cybersecurity, Networking and Hybrid Cloud, and work with our internal teams to translate these needs into compelling solutions and proposals.
  • Proactively prospect new opportunities, expand existing account relationships, and manage the full customer journey from discovery to ongoing engagement.
  • Lead and manage RFQ/RFP responses, including developing competitive strategies and win themes.
  • Foster strong partnerships with OEM vendors to align technology solutions with the unique needs of clients operating in secure, mission-critical environments.
  • Stay updated of technology trends, particularly in cybersecurity frameworks, secure networking and Hybrid Cloud architectures, to provide expert guidance to our clients.
  • Identify client pain points, articulate Compugen’s value proposition, and develop high-impact solutions.
  • Demonstrate exceptional teamwork by collaborating with cross-functional teams within Compugen and OEM partners to drive customer success and ensure exceptional service delivery
  • Maintain a strong sales pipeline and consistently deliver accurate forecasts.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets while developing sales excellence through best-in-class leadership.
  • Commitment to maintaining high ethical standards and professionalism.

Skills & Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of technology solution selling experience (outside sales) in a competitive, fast-paced customer-facing role.
  • Strong initiative and competitive drive, with the ability to think both strategically and tactically to navigate complex sales cycles.
  • Proven ability to engage and influence executive stakeholders, delivering compelling presentations and well-crafted proposals.
  • Expertise in selling complex IT solutions, particularly in Cybersecurity, Networking and Hybrid Cloud.
  • Resilient and persuasive, with the ability to overcome objections and drive deals to closure.
  • Track record of winning Government RFPs.
  • Ability to navigate procurement processes, RFQs/RFP’s/Supply Arrangements, and contract negotiations within the Government space.
  • Deep understanding of the Defence and Security sectors in Canada is an asset.
  • Understanding of the federal government procurement and contracting processes is an asset.
  • Bilingualism (English & French) is an asset.
  • Must have or be eligible for Level II (SECRET) Canadian Government Security Clearance.
