Location: Abbotsford, BC, Canada

Dasmesh Punjabi School, a well-established BC-certified KGrade 12 Independent School in Abbotsford, is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Humanities Teacher for the Secondary level. This position focuses on teaching Career-Life Education 12, Marketing & Promotion, Accounting 11, Economic Theory 12, and Law 12. If you are a self-motivated, enthusiastic educator with expertise in humanities and social sciences, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in Career-Life Education 12, Marketing & Promotion, Accounting 11, Economic Theory 12, and Law 12 that align with the BC curriculum standards.

Develop students' understanding of practical life skills, financial literacy, economic concepts, and legal principles.

Incorporate a range of teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs and encourage student engagement and critical thinking.

Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.

Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports academic success and personal growth.

Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and parents to enhance student learning.

Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

Certified to teach in British Columbia.

Specialized experience in humanities subjects at the secondary level, specifically in Career-Life Education, Marketing, Accounting, Economics, and Law.

Strong knowledge of BC curriculum standards and instructional best practices.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
