Positions with Grove School provide academic programming to students working with community agencies in Care and/or Treatment, Custody and Correction settings. Students in these settings have a variety of needs that are supported through Trauma Informed Practices and require a multi-disciplinary approach to programming. Student needs are supported through diverse programming that includes credit bearing courses at multiple levels, as well as K course programming. Programs utilize Chromebooks and a variety of technology resources.

The focus of programming is literacy and numeracy with an emphasis on gap closing. Individual students may require support for integration, social and learning skills. Students in this setting may have high needs and/or a formal identification. Special Education Part One is required , additional qualifications or knowledge of Structured Teaching, Mental Health first aid, and UDL would be an asset.

Grove School is made up of classrooms that are located in both transitional (within community schools) and offsite settings across the Durham Region. Teachers with Grove may be assigned to any of the classroom locations as required and must be willing to work within the regular or modified secondary calendar.
