Are you an experienced E&I Technician looking for a new challenge? In this position, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining Enbridge compressor stations ensuring safety and reliability. This is an Operator/Maintenance position based in Fort St John BC.

What you will do

  • Complete the Operator Qualifications Training program for each station within your region as required.
  • Operate and maintain all facility equipment at station(s) throughout the region as required.
  • Complete all required safety, operations, and maintenance training.
  • Create/review procedures.
  • Must be willing to work away from home on a normal basis and able to work On Call and Overtime.
  • Work with support groups (Planner/Finance/Pipeliners, etc).
  • Be capable of working all Unifor 4960 shifts.

Who you are

You have the following qualifications and skills:

Required:

  • Journeyperson Electrician or Instrumentation Technician.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Undergo various background screening that includes but is not limited to 5 year driving record, criminal check and drug testing (applicable to successful external candidates only) .
  • 3-5 years related work experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Preferred:

  • Dual ticketed Journeyperson Electrician, Instrument Mechanic and/or Millwright in addition would be considered an asset.
  • Measurement experience.
  • Experience working with pneumatic controls and programmable controllers.
  • Ability to multi-task and change duties quickly.
  • Demonstrated self-starter.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to carry out daily duties with minimal supervision and support.
  • Experience working in the oil & gas industry.
