We are seeking an experienced scientist with a proven track record of advancing the development of new vaccine projects, specifically focusing on formulations, including adjuvant technologies to provide comprehensive assistance by conducting formulation development work using an automation platform and high throughput analytical methods. The successful candidate will leverage cutting-edge automation platforms and high-throughput analytical methods to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of formulation development.
Key responsibilities
Provide specialized support in formulation development through the application of automation platforms and high-throughput analytical methods, including comprehensive framework for the support of formulation and stability efforts, facilitating successful delivery of new vaccine projects.
- Formulation Development:
- Design and execute formulation development experiments for vaccines
- Optimize formulations to enhance stability, efficacy, and manufacturability
- Automation Platform Utilization
- Implement automation solutions for high-throughput formulation development workflows.
- o Collaborate with the digital team to integrate software tools that facilitate automation processes.
- High-Throughput Analytical Methods:
- Develop and validate analytical methods to characterize vaccine formulations rapidly and efficiently
- Conduct stability studies and assess the physical and chemical properties of formulations
- Collaboration and Coordination:
- Liaise with vendors for the procurement and maintenance of automation equipment
- Work closely with technical subject matter experts to refine workflows and troubleshooting protocols
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and progress on project milestones
- Data Management and Reporting:
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data from formulation experiments and stability studies
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency in formulation development
- Stay updated with advancements in automation and analytical methods relevant to vaccine development
Minimum qualifications
- BS + 4-6 years of relevant experience, MS + 2-3 years of experience, or PhD + 0-2 years of experience
- Experience designing and executing vaccine formulation development using automation platforms
- Proven track record of making operations more efficient and maintaining high standards of proficiency and compliance
- Proven track record of well-documenting experiments to provide a foundation for replicating successful strategies, making it easier to scale operations
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work in a collaborative environment
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task several projects
Preferred qualifications
- Engineering background with strengths in analytical characterization methods
- Experience with Freeslate CM3 automation systems
