Job Description

• Using applicable SOPs and test methods, perform membrane filtration analysis of water, soil, and other substrates;
• Complete data entry into the LIMS system;
• Prepare stock cultures and agars;
• Maintain good laboratory housekeeping at all times;
• Report Micro samples to clients using LIMS system;
• Report Micro exceedances to clients and the MOE
• Keep track of consumables inventory and request supplies for ordering, as required;
• Follow the Quality System as documented in the Quality Assurance Manual; and
• Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• University degree or college diploma in a biology-related field;
• Basic computer literacy;
• Experience with microbiology testing is an asset;
• Laboratory safety and WHMIS training;
• Technical knowledge of applicable test methods;
• Weekend and/or holiday shifts are required; and
• Overtime may be required, as necessary
