I'm Fiona, Recruitment and Business Development Consultant at Fed Finance, a recruitment consultancy specializing in the recruitment of finance professionals. I work on two types of recruitment: temporary and permanent on the South Shore of Montreal. Our team of finance experts speaks your language and works in your environment. We cover accounting, finance and payroll.

I'm looking for a financial analyst for my client, a construction company. This is a permanent position in hybrid mode.

A typical day as a FINANCIAL ANALYST is :
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Financial Analyst will be able to play a key role in producing the company's financial statements, overseeing financial operations and implementing robust financial processes within a constantly evolving business.

Month-end closings:
-Coordinate month-ends and prepare monthly financial statements.
-Ensure accuracy of accounting entries and month-end adjustments.
-Reconcile monthly inter-company transactions involving different entities;
-Carry out accounting for fixed asset acquisitions / disposals (CAPEX tracking) and implement improvements for tracking;

Financial analysis :
-Develop and maintain management dashboard based on relevant KPIs;
-Prepare and monitor cash flows;
-Perform variance analyses to identify discrepancies between actual results and budgets/forecasts.
-Perform various ad hoc analyses requested by management;
-Support operational teams in communicating recommendations concerning action plans and improvements related to profitability;

Audit/Internal Control :
-Participate in the preparation of accounting and government audit files;
-Participate in the implementation of improvements and monitoring of processes and internal controls with the financial controller;
-Participate in annual physical inventories and the implementation of internal inventory controls;
-Document and keep up to date administrative and operational processes and procedures;

Other :
-Participate in improvement projects, including ERP implementation.

WHAT YOU NEED :
-Bachelor's degree in business administration - accounting profile;
-C.P.A. designation or in process (an asset);
-3 to 5 years' experience in a similar position, ideally with a construction company. Equivalent firm experience will be considered. Other experience may be considered.
-Proficiency in Office suite and ERP experience.
-Fluency in French/Functional English.
-Analytical skills and excellent judgment;
-Constructive leadership and communication skills;
-Sense of organization and initiative;
