My name is Fiona, and I'm a recruitment and business development consultant at Fed Finance, a recruitment consultancy specializing in the recruitment of finance professionals. I work on two types of recruitment: temporary and permanent on Montreal's South Shore. Our team of finance experts speaks your language and operates in your world. We cover accounting, finance and payroll.

I'm looking for a Management Accountant for a company in the food sector located in Longueuil, (Hybride).

Reporting to the Director of Finance and Administration, the incumbent carries out mandates and acts as a consultant in the field of accounting. The incumbent collaborates with the Director of Finance and Administration on a number of accounting and financial files. He/she performs certain accounting operations and supervises all day-to-day accounting operations for the Federation's various funds. She performs financial controls and analyses. She may be called upon to make presentations related to her work. Develops processes to optimize work. Produces budget forecasts, prepares monthly financial statements and explains variances. Prepares and follows up audit files. She is responsible for the financial follow-up of subsidy files, monitors cash flow and analyzes various files related to the Federation's accounting and finances. She acts as a resource person in the use of accounting software. She participates in the contribution invoicing process and monitors the contribution collection process (producer calls, sending statements of account, calculating interest, monitoring accounts receivable, etc.). Finally, she coordinates the work of the accounting team, manages projects and produces reports.

Relevant training and experience

- Bachelor's degree in accounting or other relevant discipline
- Minimum of six (6) years' experience in a similar position


Other requirements

- Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation, an asset;
- Experience working in an accounting firm, an asset;
- Good knowledge of fund and project accounting in a context of decentralized budgets;
- Proficiency in accounting software (Sage 300, an asset) and Excel;
- Excellent analytical, synthesizing and popularizing skills;
- Good interpersonal skills, sense of customer service and strong team spirit;
- Rigor, attention to detail and efficiency in carrying out mandates with tight deadlines;
- Ability to exercise professional judgment;
- Functional knowledge of spoken and written English;
- Autonomy, excellent management of priorities and ability to handle several files simultaneously.
