My name is Fiona, and I'm a recruitment and business development consultant at Fed Finance, a recruitment consultancy specializing in the recruitment of finance professionals. I work on two types of recruitment: temporary and permanent on Montreal's South Shore. Our team of finance experts speaks your language and operates in your world. We cover accounting, finance and payroll.
I'm looking for a Payroll Technician for a company in the media sector located in Saint-Jean-Sur-Richelieu. This is a permanent position, in hybrid mode.
Here are your responsibilities:
- Manage the complete bi-weekly payroll cycle;
- Ensure compliance with tax and labor laws and regulations regarding payroll;
- Maintain and ensure the accuracy of the payroll database and process all updates/corrections to employee files;
- Support managers and employees with payroll-related requests and questions;
- Prepare mandatory annual reports for government agencies such as T4s and RL-1s;
- Prepare various reports as requested;
- Provide support to the Human Resources and Accounting Departments.
Education/experience :
- College diploma in accounting, administration or any other training deemed equivalent;
- Two (2) years' experience in a similar role;
- Canadian Payroll Association (CPA) certification or any other certification deemed equivalent;
- Very good knowledge of payroll and benefits legislation;
- Autonomy and good analytical skills;
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
PROCEDURE: Initial interview with Fiona Moulin, Recruitment Consultant, followed by a second interview with the Human Resources Manager.
