My name is Melissa, I am a finance, accounting and payroll recruitment consultant. I hold permanent and temporary positions in the Greater Montreal area.

My client, a group specializing in real estate management in Anjou, is looking for a senior accountant whose tasks will be:



1. Enters accounting data: purchases, receipts, disbursements, entries in the general journal, auxiliary accounts payable and accounts receivable as well as monthly financial statements;

2. Performs bank reconciliations and balances accounts payable as well as rents receivable with the collaboration of the customer service representative;

3. Analyzes certain budget codes and updates the budget annexes;

4. Calculates employee pay, monitors it and coordinates any changes to be made;

5. Maintains the bank of sick days and vacations as well as the seniority list;

6. Constitutes according to established standards, deduction rates for governments, insurance, pension fund, union dues and others;

7. Prepares monthly remittances for government levels, pension funds, union dues and others, liaises with these organizations as necessary;

8. Prepares all annual reports for governments, the C.N.E.S.S.T. and others;

9. Balances the cumulative individual sheets of each employee for the issuance of RL-1 and T-4 slips and the salaries for the year to establish the various annual reports;

10. Sees to the membership and changes of employee data to the various group insurance plans, pension funds, etc.;

11. Balances and prepares data for tenants' RL-4 slips;

12. Sees to update software with IT specialists;
13. Types reports as well as correspondence related to his position and is responsible for filing his files and documents;

14. With the collaboration of the customer services officer, verifies the collection of rents and identifies overdue cases which will be submitted to the Housing Tribunal (TDL);

15. Participates in the preparation of application forms to the Régie;

16. Follows up and updates these files and submits everything to his immediate superior for hearing at the Régie;

17. Occasionally represents the employer during hearings at the Régie, in the absence of his immediate superior;

18. Carry out the special work entrusted to him as well as the tasks related to his position;

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

. Good knowledge of office work;
. General knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping;
. Knowledge of computer software used;
. Knowledge of the Acomba payroll system
. Must demonstrate initiative and a spirit of customer service.
