I'm currently recruiting a Floating Structures Design Engineer for a fast-growing company.
Your role
Reporting to the Head of Finance and Development, you will be responsible for :
-Design and modify floating structures, integrating stability, dynamics and structural aspects.
-Produce technical drawings in compliance with current specifications and standards.
-Assess the stability and dynamic behavior of floating platforms.
-Integrate and optimize mechanical and electrical equipment installations.
-Determine the list of materials required for projects.
-Collaborate with project management teams to ensure smooth construction and repair phases.
-Supervise work and monitor compliance of installed systems.
-Analyze design and construction costs to propose appropriate budgets.
-Ensure effective communication with the various partners and stakeholders.
-Resolve technical problems encountered during the design or construction phase.
Carry out regular on-site inspections to ensure compliance of work.
Your professional skills
-Excellent command of stability calculations and structural analysis.
Adaptability, rigor and strong problem-solving skills.
-Good contingency management and technical communication skills.
Your profile
-Degree in marine engineering, naval architecture, mechanical engineering or related field.
-3 to 7 years' experience in the design of floating structures or in the marine industry.
-Proficiency in engineering design software (AutoCAD, MS Project or other specific software).
-Bilingualism (French and English).
Working conditions
-Salary: $95,000 - $120,000, depending on experience.
-Permanent position, 40h/week, flexible hours.
-Possibility of 100% remote work if based outside the province.
-Occasional travel possible depending on projects, anywhere in Canada and the United States.
