We are looking for a Mechanical Designer for a company specialized in special parts design and sheet metal transformation located in Repentigny, France. The position is available immediately. Position 40 hours/week - Hybrid.
Your duties :
Reporting to the Head of Engineering (R&D department), you will be responsible for the following tasks :
- Design and develop sketches of metal parts based on customer requirements
- Develop 3D prototype models for internal and customer presentation
- Collaborate with procurement teams, suppliers, participate in the choice of materials
- Keep abreast of market trends, gather information to make the best choices in the development of new parts, reduce costs and simplify processes.
- Other related tasks
Your professional skills :
- Knowledge of CAD software - SolidWorks, Inventor
- Knowledge of illustration software (Illustrator, Photoshop) - Optional
- Attention to detail, application
- Creativity
Your profile :
- At least 4 to 5 years' experience in mechanical design
- Ideally, experience in designing parts based on metal bending, drilling, etc.
- DEC or similar diploma in mechanical engineering or industrial drafting, design
- Salary: $80k - $100k depending on experience
