Your position

I am currently recruiting a Process Project Engineer for one of my clients, a manufacturing company located in Varennes.

Permanent position 40h/week - face-to-face - day shift

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be in charge of the following tasks:

The incumbent will be responsible for the management and continuous improvement of process safety within the plant. He/she will work with production, maintenance and management teams to ensure safe and efficient operations. More specifically, duties will include:

- Implementing and monitoring change management processes, process risk analysis and assessment, safety management.
- Carry out regular audits of safety systems and internal policies to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Provide technical support to production and maintenance teams, intervening in the event of malfunctions or technical problems on equipment and processes.
- Collaborate with local teams to optimize manufacturing processes, improve productivity and workplace safety.
- Actively participate in the design of new projects and equipment, ensuring that safety is integrated right from the design phase.
- Contribute to the development and updating of standard operating procedures.

Your profile

-Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar position
-BAC in chemical or mechanical engineering
-Bilingual French - English
-ING or CPI qualification
-Experience in process engineering, mandatory
-Knowledge of the manufacturing sector, mandatory

- Salary: $90k - $110k + boni - depending on experience
- 40h/week position. Full insurance and company RRSP, telecommuting.

- Communication with international customers: As some of our customers are based abroad, you will be required to communicate with them regularly in English, both orally and in writing.
- Working with English-speaking partners: You will be required to work with English-speaking suppliers and partners to monitor orders and manage contracts.
- Drafting documents in English: You will be responsible for drafting reports, proposals and contracts in English, for our international customers.
