Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, the Supply Chain Manager oversees product manufacturing from end to end. You will be responsible for the purchasing team, the quality team and the team coordinating production by our external subcontractors in our various production centers (Canada and abroad).

One of the mandates will also be to find a new production center abroad and define its strategy.


Your main responsibilities :
x Production

Oversee all manufacturing operations to ensure that production, performance and end-product quality standards are consistently met.
Provide strategic direction and leadership to deliver products on time and on budget, according to demand planning and sales.
Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor manufacturing performance in terms of cost, quality, efficiency, production capacity and on-time delivery.
Maximize performance and profitability against pre-agreed targets.
Manage existing manufacturing capacity in Canada and abroad, optimize capacity utilization and develop new capacity to meet growing demand.
Develop and maintain genuine partnerships with our local subcontractors and service providers, with the aim of building lasting, beneficial relationships throughout our supply chain.
Advocate our operations optimization initiatives: speed to market, essentials, smart manufacturing, cost reduction program.
Manage and monitor the overall performance of production subcontractors in terms of efficiency and costs.
Liaise, support and assist all departments involved in production (Planning, Design, Sales, etc.).

x Purchasing

Provide overall leadership to our purchasing function, overseeing strategic direction and day-to-day activities, including supplier relationship management and procurement.
Direct, plan and supervise the purchasing, receiving, storage and distribution of fabrics and trims.
Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with corporate objectives, maximizing stock turns to reduce overall inventory.
Manage supplier relationships and negotiate to secure favorable terms and pricing.
Coordinate purchasing activities to support the demand plan for the different seasons.
Support the supplier performance monitoring process and take corrective action where necessary.
Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to purchasing activities.
Manage and coach purchasing staff, providing leadership and guidance to ensure high performance.
Manage and mentor purchasing staff, providing leadership and guidance to ensure high performance and productivity.

Qualifications and Skills Required
Over 5 years' experience as a Manager in the manufacturing sector.
University degree in engineering, business administration or related field (BAC recommended).
Proven leadership skills with the ability to mobilize teams and influence decisions.
Strategic mindset.
Ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly to change.
Bilingual with excellent communication skills.
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and Business Intelligence software.
Lean Six Sigma certification or equivalent in manufacturing.
Proficiency in production software systems for planning and tracking (ERP) - knowledge of D365 is an asset.
Ability to establish and effectively manage a production budget in various countries.
