Requirements: Bachelor of Education - Elementary

Desired Qualifications/Skills:

Child-centered approach to instruction and building positive teacher-student relationships.

Effective organizational skills and classroom management.

Knowledge of primary curriculum.

Skilled in differentiating instruction.

Knowledge of designing and implementing Individualized Program Plans for students with special needs.

Ability to lead, manage and coordinate Educational Assistants in their support roles.

Ability to liaise and work with district FMPSD Education Department, Coordinators and Consultants.

Ability and commitment to work with school and division colleagues in professional learning activities.

Ability to establish productive relationships with staff and parents.

Commitment to continuous professional growth.

Commitment to Assessment for Learning model.

Commitment to learning and supporting Leader in Me education model.

Willingness to participate in the school community beyond the classroom.

Knowledge of school vision, and mission goals.
