We are currently seeking reliable individuals to join our team as Cleaners at our residential properties located in:
The successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of our buildings, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. The Cleaners will perform a variety of cleaning duties, including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces in common areas and offices. They will work closely with the maintenance staff.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all general cleaning tasks in and around the property premises, including but not limited to business office, restrooms, laundry rooms, model apartments and property common areas.
- Perform cleaning tasks following and completing daily checklists to ensure a consistent cleanliness of the property premises, which includes sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, including restocking dispensers, emptying trash, cleaning and sanitizing fixtures, cleaning mirrors, spot cleaning doors and walls, cleaning toilets and urinals.
- Clean vacant apartment units in preparation for showing and occupancy.
- Maintain the overall upkeep of the property grounds including cleaning driveways, sidewalks, parking lots, dumpster areas, exterior hallways, or any other public areas.
- Ensure all cleaning equipment and supplies are properly used, restocked, stored, and maintained to follow inventory control.
- Empty and dispose of trash.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to supervisor.
- Follow established safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and effective cleaning operations.
- Provide excellent customer service to tenants.
- Assist maintenance staff with special projects as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in similar role, performing various cleaning, housekeeping and maintenance activities is preferred.
- Knowledge of safe use of cleaning chemicals and supplies following the WHMIS and Occupational Health and Safety Act would be an asset.
- Ability to handle and operate cleaning equipment, such as vacuum cleaners and floor scrubbers.
- Ability to follow directions and handle projects while following all GMR safety policies and procedures.
- Ability to work independently and in team.
- Good time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
Working Conditions:
- This position involves regular exposure to cleaning chemicals.
- Physical ability is required to lift and carry cleaning supplies, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
- Flexible hours may be required based on the needs of business – weekends or holidays.
