The Good Spirit School Division invites applications for casual Library Technician.

Casuals are called in as required when a permanent employee is absent.

Individuals work flexible assignments to support the operational needs of schools in various locations throughout our division.

These individuals ensure the students "come first" and have the support they need to create a positive, friendly and safe learning environment.

The duties of a Library Technician are to:

Cataloguing of library resources.

Working collaboratively as a team member, along with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Other duties as outlined on our website in Job Description - Library Technician.

The successful candidate will have the desired qualifications:

Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent training/experience with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Experience as a Library Technician will be considered an asset.

Candidates must have patience and compassion and enjoy working with children to create a fun, positive, safe learning environment.

Interviews will be conducted upon application.

Please note that GSSD may contact informal references not listed in your application package.

Applicants not currently working for GSSD will be required to submit a recent (within the last six months) criminal record and vulnerable sector check acceptable to the Board of Education prior to offer of employment.
