The Good Spirit School Division invites applications for a permanent Speech Language Pathologist (SLP). The SLP is a specialist who works to provide diagnostic and programming services for children and youth with communication disorders. SLPs are employed for the purpose of providing specialized support for students with language and communication needs. These personnel consult and collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and other personnel or agencies to support communication and early literacy skills.

Assignment and Term:

This is a permanent (1.0 FTE) position beginning Immediately. Posting will close once the position is filled.

Qualifications:

Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology

Currently or eligible to be licensed by the Saskatchewan Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists

Demonstrated ability to take initiative and follow direction.

Must work well with others and independently.

Excellent time management skills.

Strong organizational skills.

Position Details:

The Speech and Language Pathologists will work as part of a Professional Support Team comprised of a psychologist, speech-language pathologist, occupational therapist, school counsellors, and behavior support coach. The successful candidates will be assigned to their respective schools within the Good Spirit School Division based on their level of experience and areas of expertise.

Duties:

The responsibilities of Speech-Language Pathologists include screenings, assessment, program development, program implementation, collaborating as part of a professional team, and monitoring of student progress. The SLP will work with the early learning team to promote foundational learning skills in the kindergarten population.

Salary and Benefits:

The School Division offers a competitive compensation package. The Speech & Language Pathologist shall receive a salary of Class V or VI on the STF grid plus Tier 2 allowance as negotiated through LINC. Further benefits include a comprehensive health and dental benefit plan, opportunity to attend professional development seminars and travel compensation.
