GRASSLANDS PUBLIC SCHOOLS is hiring!
We are seeking a motivated, professional and skilled individual to serve in the role of theatre technician. The successful candidate will have a proven ability to work independently to fulfill a diverse range of bookings including school concerts, dance recitals and theatre performances.
The successful applicant must have a flexible schedule and available to work late afternoon, evening and weekends and sometimes long hours based on theatre bookings.

Ideal candidates skills & abilities:
- Able to operate audio/visual equipment
- Strong computer skills; able to pick up new and existing programs relate to the job quickly
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Able to work independently or as a team
- Excellent problem solving, organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Able to work in crowded and loud environments
- Able to prioritize tasks both routine and unexpected
- Able to perform tasks, that may be physically demanding that includes but not limited to; climbing and balancing; stooping, kneeling, crawling, bending, turning, and reaching; lifting, carrying, pulling and pushing; and, prolonged sitting and standing
- Understanding and appreciation of Grasslands Public Schools mission and values

- Understanding of how this role impacts the community
- Able to establish a professional rapport with community contacts
Preferred Education and Certifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Prior experience working with audio/visual equipment or post-secondary education would be considered an asset but not a requirement
Successful applicants will be required to submit before start date:
- Current Criminal Record Check (CRC) with Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC)
