Business System Analyst_Guidewire Billing Center

Position Description:

The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) will support the existing production environment and participate in current and future development projects. The individual will analyze moderate to complex system and functionality-related problems in our insurance business systems.

This role is hybrid and requires you to be at our client location in Markham at a minimum 2-3 days per week - subject to change at any time.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• The BSA will analyze moderate to complex systems and functionality issues as reported by the business unit.
• Recommend and communicate possible workaround solutions before programming changes are applied.
• Proactively act upon any recognized trends in system problems.
• Evaluate and offer feedback on different solutions.
• Create Requirement documentation for introducing system changes.
• Testing moderate to complex system changes, and maintaining and updating tables changes.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• 5+ years working as a Guidewire Billing Center BSA experience
• Guidewire Billing Center Ace Certified
• 5+ years’ experience working in personal insurance
• Hands-on experience working on Agency Bill, Broker Fees, and Commission
• Experience working as part of Agile Delivery Team
• Hands-on experience working with project team on defining and managing project scope
• Must be able to identify project issues/roadblocks and steps for mitigation and resolution

Nice to have:
• Scrum Master experience
• Experience working on Conversion Projects
• CIP or strong insurance knowledge
• Prior Billing Center conversion experience is an asset
• Prior experience working on business requirements related to IT/Digital Development
