Business System Analyst - Legacy

Position Description:

This role is hybrid and requires you to be in our Markham, ON office 2-3 times per week - subject to change at any time.

We are seeking a talented and experienced Business Systems Analyst to become an integral part of our team!

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Facilitating discussions with business partners to collect, document, and validate detailed analysis of business functions, rules and processes required for Projects and BAU activities.
• Hands-on experience in managing Legacy systems (General and Broker Portal).
• You have an innovative mindset to improve operational efficiencies and ability to influence change, with a primary focus on client needs.
• Experience working with Macros/Automation tools and handled various types of Input feeds.
• Good understanding of APIs, SFTP, UI/UX and Non-Functional Requirements.
• Performing data analysis to identify data gaps and develop data conversion mapping tables.
• Building relationship with Vendors/Partners and managing changes and execution in Vendor management systems.
• Guiding the assessment and selection of design solutions, acting as intermediary between the Systems team and the Business stakeholders.
• Performing detailed data analysis, data modeling, mapping, and flow to support system functionality, integrations and conversations.
• Developing the user acceptance test plan, strategies and leading the overall testing activities for medium to large initiatives.
• Leading the continuous improvement of the Business Systems Analyst (BSA) practice through research, devising improvements, establishing more efficient processes, and providing guidance to other team members.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

1. Facilitate and document, and validate business requirements detailed
2. Experience with Mainframe Applications.
3. Experience in facilitating discussions with business partners to collect, document, and validate detailed analysis of business functions, rules and processes required for Projects and BAU activities.
4. Hands-on experience in managing Legacy systems (General and Broker Portal).
