We seek a dynamic Director Consulting Services (DCS) to join our expanding team in the Calgary region. In this senior leadership role, you will be a trusted advisor to our clients, drive business growth, lead complex technology engagements, and manage a high-performing consulting team. You will bring deep knowledge of the energy sector, technology, strong client relationships, and a passion for delivering innovative solutions that create measurable value.
Client Engagement & Growth
- Serve as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to clients-understanding their priorities, challenges, and opportunities
- Grow the business by identifying and developing new opportunities aligned with market trends and client needs
- Build and maintain a robust sales funnel through proactive outreach, networking, and relationship development
- Lead the development of winning proposals and presentations that address client business requirements
- Identify and nurture partnerships with industry-leading solution providers
- Measure and manage client satisfaction, ensuring long-term relationships and repeat business
Service & Solution Delivery
- Take ownership of the successful delivery of consulting engagements, coordinating closely with CGI’s Global Delivery Centers
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and with measurable business impact
- Manage client interactions, including scope negotiations and change requests
- Drive innovation and continuously enhance CGI’s service offerings to benefit clients and fuel profitable growth
Team Leadership & Talent Development
- Lead and develop a team of up to 15 CGI professionals
- Align team capabilities with evolving client needs and market demands
- Manage resourcing for current and upcoming engagements, including recruitment and onboarding
- Foster an inclusive team culture that supports collaboration, learning, and career growth
- Mentor team members and support their professional development and retention
Operational & Financial Management
- Contribute to strategic planning, forecasting, and budgeting activities as part of the business unit’s leadership team
- Monitor and manage engagement profitability and operational performance
- Apply best practices in performance management, succession planning, and team development
- Manage operating expenses and resource planning in alignment with business objectives

Sales & Client Leadership
- 7+ years of experience in enterprise sales, account management, or consulting leadership
- Proven ability to identify and convert new business opportunities
- Experience managing client relationships at the executive level
Delivery Oversight
- Track record of successfully leading and delivering complex technical and consulting projects
- Experience working with global delivery teams and emerging technologies
- Understanding of systems development lifecycle, solution architecture, and managed services models
Communication & Influence
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation and negotiation
- Ability to navigate and influence cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders
Technical & Industry Expertise
- Deep knowledge of the IT and Energy sectors
- Familiarity with Management Consulting and Professional Services offerings and go-to-market strategies
- Experience with P&L ownership, budgeting, forecasting, and pricing models
Digital Presence
- Comfort using social media and digital channels to expand your network, enhance credibility, and support business development efforts
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Commerce, or a related field
- MBA or advanced degree is considered an asset
