This role is cross-functional expertise in plant maintenance (PM) and Warehouse Management (WM/EWM). The successful candidate will manage and support the small to large scale enhancements implementation and day-to-day business support of PM module in S/4 HANA on-prem and EWM decentralized implementation in S/4 HANA PCE.
This role is responsible for the production of detailed functional design for solution components, whether based on a packaged solution or on custom development. This involves working with clients to understand and flesh out business requirements to ensure they are complete and do not imply a solution, and with individual project subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure they fully understand the business requirements that impact their application areas and ensures the solution for a given application area integrate seamlessly with the overall end-to-end solution. The role required a deep understanding of cross-functional processes, strong technical knowledge of SAP PM and EWM modules, and excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Understand and analyze business requirements to determine best solutions to optimize the business processes (custom development or configuration changes)
• Configure and document application components.
• Produce configuration design specifications, and if required detailed functional design specifications, that meet the business requirements and align with the solution architecture (Interact with developers when required).
• Ensure optimal re-use and leveraging of existing/pre-packaged application functions versus the need for the development of new and/or customized functions.
• Drive efficiency in process and configurations related to PM and EWM modules
• Discuss and address small to large scale enhancements with client
• Good knowledge of working and some hands-on with main ERP system and decentralized EWM on PCE will be required.
• Diagnose and resolve configuration defects through root-cause analysis and impact analysis.
• Determine whether redesign is required for proper resolution.
• Change the design specifications when applicable.
• Guide, and collaborate with, the application developer/designers and/or other configurator/designers on the configuration and functional designs.
• Address any potential design development issues with them.
• Produce test cases/scenarios and prepare test data to test all functionality identified in the functional design.
• Conduct unit, functional and integration testing and log results.
• Test vendor patches or support packs before their implemented in production.
• Define the implementation plan details, including deployment, cutover and fall-back, and ensure successful promotion to the production environment
• Integrate PM and WM processes with other SAP modules such as MM (Materials Management), SD (Sales and Distribution) will be an asset
• Strong with SAP PM (Plant Maintenance) around 5-8 years of experience
• Strong with SAP WM/EWM (Warehouse Management) around 3-5 years of experience
• Familiarity with SAP FIORI applications
• Experienced in writing configuration design specifications for custom development
• Knowledge of working with Utilities customer is an asset.
• Certified SAP PM (EAM) or equivalent experience.
