Scala Developer

This role is hybrid and requires you to be at our downtown Toronto office (250 Yonge St) and/or Client office.

• Bachelor’s or master’s in computer science or Information Technology.
• Ability to communicate in clear & concise way.
• 8+ years application development experience in Scala, REST services/microservices, scalatest/Junit libraries with maven.
• 8+ year of experience on Hive, Spark using Cloudera data platform.
• 5+ years of experience on Java spring boot, Hibernate, Junit.
• Knowledge of performance optimization on Hadoop platform is essential using Spark and Scala.
• Ability to write optimized SQL queries, knowledge on postgres, MS SQL Server etc.
• Ability to learn & adapt.
• Experience in writing Unit test cases & perform thorough unit testing.
• Experience working on Unix platform
• Experience working with docker containerization.
• Experience on git.
Nice-to-have:
• Experience working with Kubernetes and helm
• Experience working on python programming.
• Experience on CI/CD using Jenkin
