Position Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineers to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing the data infrastructure, implementing data governance frameworks, and developing real-time data streaming solutions. This role requires expertise in a variety of data management tools and technologies, including Collibra, Apache Iceberg, Jira, Kafka, Microsoft Power BI, and Snowflake. Your future duties and responsibilities:

As a Data Engineer your responsibilities will be:
1. Implement and manage data governance with Collibra.
2. Utilize Apache Iceberg for data lake management.
3. Coordinate projects using Jira and Jira Align.
4. Design and maintain real-time data streaming solutions with Apache Kafka.
5. Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI.
6. Implement data integration workflows using Apache NiFi and Snaplogic.
7. Administer and optimize Oracle Database systems.
8. Use SAP PowerDesigner for data modeling.
9. Manage and optimize data warehousing solutions with Snowflake.
10. Develop data processing scripts and applications using Python.
11. Apply AI/ML techniques for data analysis.
12. Ensure high data quality and integrity.
13. Implement and maintain data security protocols.
14. Optimize the performance of data systems and applications.
15. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data processes and systems.
16. Provide training and support to team members on data tools and best practices.
17. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver solutions.
18. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

1. 5-7+ years of proven experience with the listed technologies and tools.

2. Strong understanding of data governance, data management, and data integration.

5. Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
6. “Strong opinions, lightly held” - Willingness to own, research, and argue your points of view, bring new ideas to the table, but deliver according to consensus and expectations.
Required Level of Education (include certifications):
1. University or Technical Diploma in IT discipline with equivalent experience.
2. Experience with Cloud data services (Azure, GCP, AWS) and/or Snowflake is desired.
3. Relevant certifications for this role will be nice to have.
