As a Senior Project Manager at CGI, you will contribute to the success of multiple IT projects and initiatives for our clients. You will be required to work directly with clients on multiple projects simultaneously, driving the CGI project team and/or scrum team to deliver on-time, on-schedule, and on-scope. You will need to be fluent in more than one project methodology, such as traditional/waterfall, agile scrum or kanban, or hybrid (tradition-waterfall).

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Team Building. Drive, inspire, and motivate the team to deliver successful projects to client satisfaction, encouraging a collaborative and team approach. Manage the project or scrum teams associated with the initiative, providing guidance and oversight, connecting and collaborating with team leads and Scrum Masters as appropriate. Ensure timely communications and sharing to team and amongst team for optimal effectiveness, striving to cultivate high-performing teams.
• Project. Ensure excellent management of project activities, including adhering to CGI delivery and project policies, metrics, and processes. Use project management best practices and knowledge to plan, coordinate, lead/oversee and communicate the activities to the project/scrum team to ensure that project objectives, milestones, and deliverables are met. Utilize in different project methodologies, including but not limited to: traditional/waterfall, agile scrum or kanban, or hybrid (tradition-waterfall). Complete various mechanisms to deliver services and execute the project, including but not limited to using the project plan/scheduler, work plan/backlog, risk and issue logs, communication plans, implementation plan. Employ project control mechanisms and get appropriate levels of approval for controlling project change, such as Statements of Work and associated Change Requests. Obtain engagement and approvals of key deliverables and activities by all necessary parties, including clients, team members and vendors. Balance the management of projects by mitigating risks and defining resolution plans for addressing issues, proactively managing risks and issues. Deliver expected project margin/profitability. Obtain, validate and understand the cost models and project profit margins for all assigned projects. Define functional structure of the project; prepare work plans for planning and scheduling of required resource.
• Relationship Management. Effective client relationship management, ability to deal with a breadth of stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including client executives with professionalism and business acumen. Keep client apprise of project status, key risks and issues, and key decisions needed via governance and reporting. Facilitate meetings effectively, ensuring adequate representation, momentum and engagement, follow-up, and delivery of associated and expected meeting artefacts.
• Quality. Ensure contractual obligation are being met, including meeting any project-related Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Demonstrate solid management of team activities that deliver quality results and embrace CGI and contractual quality obligations and processes. Ensure projects are auditable and audit ready, adhere to CGI policy and contractual requirements.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• 10+ years of Project Management experience within IT
• Proven experience working with multiple clients on IT project-based initiatives
• Excellent skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and growing transparency
• Superb communication and presentation skills in providing pertinent and detailed information to clients and delivery / operational teams

Desired Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience coordinating and facilitating information sessions, working sessions, and Steering Committees
• Familiarity with the BC health sector and ecosystem

Education and Certification

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Bachelor degree in Health Informatics, Masters degree in Project Management or equivalent
• Certified Project Manager (PMP) certification
