This is a fantastic opportunity to join our CGI-Edmonton team providing leading information technology services to our clients. We are seeking a Service Designer with at least five years of demonstrated abilities in large enterprise environments.
The Service designer is at the heart of our design process as the role contributes to activities on projects and facilitates service definition. Your future duties and responsibilities:

- Devise and propose solutions to meet client needs based on business / organizational value.
- Present and defend sound and reasoned arguments for a proposed course of action.
- Demonstrate a good understanding of their specialist area and the impact this can have on their client’s and CGI’s business.
- Has an in-depth knowledge of their specialist area, and uses knowledge, information and techniques from a range of sources to address complex business issues.
- Builds sustainable peer client relationships through personal credibility and successful delivery. Proactive in stakeholder management.
- Clearly communicates the customer’s business need and the solution to others.
- Proactively researches & develops ideas/product/services which are relevant to CGI and/or industry
- Builds strong internal relationships within CGI, and proactively supports business development initiatives.
- Monitors performance & metrics against business case, resolving where possible and escalating where necessary. Monitors (and manages as applicable) client project budgets.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

- 5-7 years’ experience in the field of Service Design, including experience in designing complex systems at the organizational level
- Experience Leading project teams
- Experience as a consultant including some experience in communicating with senior leadership and C-suite executives
- Demonstrated experience designing the end-to-end journey of services based on evidence of user needs and strategic outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience in organizational change management and process improvement
- Experience in group facilitation, including experience in developing workshop materials, leading design sessions and design testing and product improvement
- Experience in designing the end-to-end journey of services based on evidence of user needs and strategic outcomes.

Desirable Skills:
- Formal training in the field of human-centered design or undergraduate to masters’ level experience in a design-focused occupation such as architecture, communications, education, sociology, visual, multi-media design, engineering or industrial design etc.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies
- Understanding of Business Transformation and Digital Transformation
- Agile Coach Certification, Certified SCRUM Master, PROSCI Change Management practitioner certification, Lean Six Sigma certification or training in system and service design
- Experience in the government or public sector

Desirable Educational Requirements:
- Graduate and/or post-graduate qualification typically in a business/management discipline is considered desirable
