Avantages

Are you passionate about shipping and ready to take on major strategic and technical challenges?

Navigation Desgagnés Inc. (NDI) is looking for a Superintendent - Commercial Operations to ensure the success of its bulk and dry cargo operations on national and international networks.

Your mission

As a technical expert, you will play a key role in the planning and execution of NDI's commercial operations, both for domestic summer cargoes and for the management of a versatile international fleet during the winter. You'll perform advanced calculations to optimize vessel loading plans and oversee the technical aspects of transshipment operations to ensure they run smoothly. You will provide important support to sales and new project development by assessing maximum vessel loading capacities, optimal cargo transshipment solutions (including lifting and securing) and the technical and operational risks and opportunities impacting project feasibility, freight rate calculations and contract terms relevant to your duties.

This position, combining technical analysis, strategic planning and operations optimization, will position you at the center of customer satisfaction and voyage profitability. You'll work closely with the sales and ship teams to supervise transshipment operations, optimize loading plans, and ensure ship stability.

Your expertise will also lead you to work in coordination with internal departments and external partners to identify opportunities for improvement and mitigate risks, while complying with quality and safety standards.

Your profile

With a background in navigation (first mate's certificate or navigation diploma), ideally complemented by studies in project management or management, you will combine both technical expertise and organizational skills. Your rigor and sense of responsibility, combined with excellent problem-solving skills, will enable you to manage priorities effectively. You'll communicate fluently in French and English, and work well with a variety of teams to optimize every aspect of business operations.

Do you recognize yourself in this description? Then we have a job for you!

If you're ready to contribute to the success of our organization and be part of a dynamic team in a unique setting in the heart of Quebec City, we want to meet you!
