The HR Payroll Administrator provides payroll support and assistance for bi-weekly and off cycle payroll processing for HHS and Affiliates. The HR Payroll Administrator completes Record of Employment biweekly, triages inquiries, forwarding to the appropriate payroll staff and/or responding to clients in a professional and timely manner. The HR Payroll Administrator assists with pay audits, data validations and clean up initiatives. The incumbent also performs various administrative tasks that support effective and efficient operations within the payroll program area.


Qualifications
  1. Community College (Diploma in Accounting, Payroll Administration, Business, or other relevant).
  2. Completion of Payroll I and II courses (Canadian Payroll Association) preferred.
  3. Minimum 1 year payroll processing and administration experience.
  4. Minimum 1 year data entry/data management experience.
  5. Minimum 1 year experience in a client/customer facing role.
  6. Basic knowledge of payroll related legislation, theory, processes, reporting.
  7. Understanding of human resource/payroll related software such as PeopleSoft and/or Oracle Cloud.
  8. Intermediate capabilities in Excel and other MS office applications.
  9. Knowledge and skills in general office administration and processes.
  10. Exceptional customer service skills.
  11. Excellent organizational, time management and prioritization skills.
  12. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a high performance environment.
  13. Demonstrated analytical ability and problem solving skills.
