Description
The OTA/PTA supervises or assists patients with treatment activities, both individual and group under the direction of a qualified Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist. Acts a preceptor for OTA/PTA students from accredited community colleges.
1. OTA/PTA Diploma
2. Ability to communicate effectively with staff, patients and families
3. Demonstrates attributes of respect and caring
4. Demonstrated ability to work independently, accept assignments, set and adjust priorities and organize self and work areas
5. Ability to do repetitive reaching, bending, pushing, lifting and demonstrate good body mechanics
