Salary will be based on your submitted QECO rating statement and salary grid placement.

Key Competencies:
Classroom Experience in the subject area
Demonstrated Culturally Responsive Teaching in order to understand and respond to student voice and lived experiences at Westdale
A demonstrated focus on student achievement and well-being as evidenced through equity, diversity, and inclusion in education in the classroom/school
Demonstrated use of technology to support student learning
Demonstrated knowledge and implementation of the principles of Growing Success
Special Education and/or Teaching English Language Learners qualifications would be an asset

Interviews are being conducted on: September 25 & 26, 2024 - A traditional question and answer interview will be conducted through the MS TEAMS platform or in person with a panel of Secondary Principals.

Land Acknowledgement
HWDSB is located on ancestral Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee Confederacy land as determined by the Dish with One Spoon treaty. The Dish with One Spoon wampum belt represents the treaty relationship
between the Haudenosaunee Confederacy and Anishinaabe with respect to sharing the land and resources thereon. The intent of this agreement is for all nations sharing this territory to do so
responsibly, respectfully and sustainably in perpetuity. We respect the longstanding relationships with the local Indigenous communities, the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and the Six Nations of the Grand River.
