St. Thomas More K-12 School Fairview, Alberta
Holy Family Catholic Regional Division is seeking a highly motivated educator with visionary leadership to fill the role of Principal. The successful candidate will possess a clear vision for student success, a commitment to collaborative leadership, a good understanding of school improvement and culture, and be able to work in the context of the Catholic school community.
The ideal candidate will:
Be a practicing Catholic who demonstrates a commitment to the Catholic Faith
Create a culture of high expectation for students, staff, parents and the community
Cultivate a climate of mutual respect with students promoting engagement and have a proven ability to build relationships
Provide leadership in the implementation of High School programming, assessment and reporting
Promote and model lifelong learning for students and staff
Effectively plan, organize, and manage the human and physical resources of the school
Demonstrate effective communication, facilitation, interpersonal skills and problem solving skills
Provide collaborative leadership and engagement of stakeholders
Possess exceptional organizational skills and a high degree of flexibility
Demonstrate proficiency in the use of technology to enhance pedagogy
Demonstrate a commitment to student success
Demonstrate flexibility and a readiness to take on roles and challenges as they arise in order to meet School and Division goals
Possess a knowledge of Indigenous Students
The successful candidate will:
Be eligible to be a teacher/leader in the province of Alberta - Teacher Alberta Certification, Leadership Certification in Alberta
Be a member of the school's administrative team and participate in division training and initiatives.
Preference will be given to applicants with a Master's Degree or who are working towards their Master's Degree.
The position is probationary moving to a continuous term contract(s) upon successful evaluation. Position starts for the 2024-25 School Year, August 28, 2024
The salary reflects Holy Family Catholic Regional Division Collective Agreement. Applications to be received until a suitable candidate is found.
