Right now we’re looking for an Integration Specialist Developer. This position is responsible for supporting the IT Development division of the hospital and providing technical support for understanding of translating data from one system to another, interfacing techniques system workflow, working knowledge of data feeds and integration engine technologies.  The Senior Integration specialist will be providing expertise while implementing multiple use cases to integrate health care systems.  Implement and develop HL7/JSON/XML interfaces based on third party specifications.  Investigate document and escalate reported integration problems and concerns with the support team, onboarding customer and /or EHR/EMR Vendor.  Elaborate and execute a project plan for new integration projects including test plans.  Evaluate and select appropriate software and suggest integration methods.  Prepare, test and document connection changes (ex Web Services, SFTP, TCP/IP etc) for new integrations between other vendors and organization.  Monitor systems to ensure they meet both user needs and business objectives.

Job Responsibilities:

 

Activities

  • Document support procedures and system knowledge supporting and /or implementing moderately complex integration projects
  • Developing, implementing complex data using Health Level 8 (HL7) and Extensive Markup language (XML) messaging standards and structures
  • Developing, implementing and understanding API protocols and programming (primarily XML, JSON, SWL, Java/Jee, .NET Programming, and frameworks
  • Analyzing, developing and troubleshooting with HL7 Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR)
  • Design/Develop demonstrate knowledge in UNIX/LINUX and/or Windows, technical infrastructure in healthcare setting
  • Develop, design, test, implement using Biztalk Engine, Tcl/TK, XML, X12, TCP/IP, SSL, FTP, Web Services, Java script, Perl, Cache Object Script
  • Analyze data and problem solve
  • Communicate solutions and document content
  • Design and execute queries upon request for data
  • Manage security issues, permission, updates and maintenance of Biztalk
  • Provide mentorship by supporting other team members in the development, implementation/testing in Biztalk and or SQL queries
  • Collaborate within the team and act as a technical advisor to the members
  • Assist with team with debugging issues with performance, data, product, reports, et
  • Rollout standard software autonomously
  • Ability to coordinate activities involving multiple players, including vendors, subject matter experts, interface engine developers, and end users, to design, configure, and test interfaces

 

Requirements:

 

BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent amount of education and work experience

Certificate in Project management an asset

Minimum of 3 years experience in hospital information with an understanding of translating data from one system to another, interfacing techniques system workflow, working knowledge of data feeds and integration engine technologies.

3+ years knowledge of SQL queries, SQL server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)

Experience working in a hospital setting preferred 

3+ years knowledge of Oracle, Cystal Reporting or SQL Server Databases

Strong experience with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Experience with Meditech Data Repository an asset 

Hands-on knowledge of Health Level 8 (HL7) an asset
