Description
The Supply Secondary Hall Monitor reports to the Principal, and works collaboratively with the principal, teachers, and other school personnel to ensure safe and efficient school operations. The Supply Secondary Hall Monitor provides support to students and staff on a daily basis and is scheduled on an as-needed basis, Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm, with an hourly wage of $20.68.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Circulate throughout the building
Enforcement of school rules
Monitor washrooms for student activity and encourage students to be prompt in getting to class
Monitor cafeteria areas during lunch time as well as lunchtime detention rooms
Assist with emergency drills
Assist with school-wide events such as masses, assemblies, etc.
Relay information between classroom teachers and the main office as needed
Assist the administration in keeping the school safe for all
Assist with the safe departure of students on buses at the end of the day
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of a Secondary School Diploma
Ability to work as part of a team
Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Previous experience in a school environment is an asset
