Commercial Account Manager

Our client in the Toronto GTA area is seeking to hire a Commercial Account Manager to join their expanding team. This role involves working collaboratively in a team environment to manage a diverse and growing commercial insurance book of business.

• Managing a book of medium to large-commercial construction accounts, including handling prequalification documents, tenders, and project placements
• Negotiating coverages, rates, and premiums with insurance underwriters and clients
• Reviewing client risk and preparing comprehensive coverages tailored to specific client needs
• Attending client and prospect meetings as needed
• Managing abeyances and account receivables
• Performing other related duties and projects as required

• Preferred licensed RIBO candidates or successful completion of RIBO license within 6 months of continuous employment
• Minimum of three (3) years of work experience in handling commercial accounts and/or construction underwriting within a brokerage and/or insurance company
• Working knowledge and/or understanding of construction insurance
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
• In the process of completing CAIB and/or CIP and/or CRM designations
