Commercial Assistant

Our client is an independently owned and operated insurance brokerage. Their Commercial division specializes in transportation insurance (inland marine) however they write all types of commercial insurance. The office is friendly and fast paced and as a great team of commercial staff. They offer a collaborative environment that encourages learning and sharing of knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining system notations and applications
• Reviewing policy documents for accuracy, requesting corrections or endorsements
• Preparation of documents which include submissions, proposals, cover notes, enclosures for new policies and endorsements
• Issuing Proofs of Insurance, binders and certificates
• Handling routine inquires such as day-to-day requests by producers and clients
• Invoicing and Payment processing
• Contact clients for renewal information
• Taking client calls and answering their questions
• Working within a team
• Maintaining professional relationships with underwriters, co-workers and clients

Qualifications

• Level 2 license required
• Experience with Applied Systems Epic and CSR24
• Familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Experience working with multiple insurance carriers
• Minimum of 5 years senior personal lines experience (some commercial experience is an asset)
