Controller (Part time)

ABOUT THE CLIENT

Based in Richmond, our client is a small real estate firm with a portfolio of commercial and residential assets and are currently looking to add a controller to their team!

ABOUT THE POSITION

Reporting to senior management, the Controller will be responsible for managing full cycle accounting work, some of the duties include but aren’t limited too:

• Prepare operating budgets, payroll and financial statements.
• Oversee financial reporting and implement/streamline internal audits and controls.
• Process intercompany transactions, property accounting, as well as manage banking relationships.
• Prepare and present year-end budgets and financial statements.
• Assist management in higher level analysis, special projects, programs, capital expenditure planning and IT function.
• Participate in recruiting and training of new staff.
• Ad hoc projects as needed.

REQUIREMENTS

• Designated CPA
• 4+ years of property accounting experience.
• Real estate experience is required
• Experience working with Yardi is an asset.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

• Salary: $95,000 to $110,000
• Discretionary bonus

• 3 weeks’ vacation
