ABOUT COMPANY

Based in Surrey, our client is a commercial property management company that is looking to add a controller to their team. The ideal candidate has 6+ years of relevant experience.

ABOUT THE POSITION

Reporting to the owner, the controller will be responsible for but not limited to:

• Oversee the accounting team and manage full cycle accounting work for multiple properties.
• Prepare and review month end financial statements.
• Prepare landlord specific reporting requirements.
• Work in collaboration with the external auditors for year-end CAM reconciliations.
• Prepare and track daily cash management, tenant invoicing, rent billings, PAD processing and payment of property tax bills.
• Prepare management fees, rent roll billings and tenant chargebacks.
• Prepare cashflow, year-end working papers and monthly distributions.
• Prepare CAM and tax recovery reconciliations and billings.
• Determine budget operating expenses, and review AP/AR invoices
• Review and enter new leases into Yardi Voyager
• Work with property accountants and property managers for budgeting and financial reporting.

REQUIREMENTS

• 6+ years of property management experience
• 3+ years of leadership experience.
• Experience working with commercial properties is required.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

• Salary $100,000 to $120,000
• Extended health and dental
• 3+ weeks of vacation
• 5 days in office
