We are hiring a Human Resources Manager for our financing and technology client, this role will be based in their Downtown Toronto office. This Human Resources Manager is a newly created role, working directly with the CEO, you’ll lead HR functions for this busy, and exciting start up.

Our client is a finance and technology organization with multiple offices across Canada. With an entrepreneurial spirit, they plan to grow their team again this year. Our client is on a mission to help individuals access health and wellness solutions.

About the Opportunity
The Human Resources Manager will help develop this function for this start up organization and facilitate their growth plans for this year. Focused on employee performance management, retention and policy development, the HR Manager will work to align the HR function with the organization’s strategic, and ambitious growth and development plans.

About the Position

  • Updating, developing and implementing HR policies and procedures.
  • Employee relations, retention and engagement.
  • Performance management.
  • Talent acquisition.
  • HR compliance and strategy.
  • Assists with office operations.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience as a Human Resources Manager.
  • 2+ years of leadership experience in an HR role.
  • 5+ years of progressive combined HR experience.
  • Degree or Diploma in Human Resources.
  • HR designation is preferred.
  • Experience practicing Human Resources across multiple Provinces is an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills, a concise and direct style is appreciated.
  • Prior experience leading performance management strategy, meetings and planning.
  • Proven ability to develop successful retention and engagement strategies.
  • Industry experience in financial solutions or finance is an asset; and interest in health and wellness is preferred.
  • Experience in a start-up environment is an asset.
  • This position is in office.

Compensation:
List details of the compensation for the position including salary/wage, benefits, vacation time and other compensation.

  • Annual salary range $80,000 - $100,000.
