We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant with experience in Commercial Litigation, to join our clients Construction Litigation group. This is a dynamic role that involves both client-facing tasks and internal administrative support within a fast-paced legal environment.

About the Opportunity
As a Legal Assistant you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the group. You will be expected to coordinate various support services, manage administrative duties, and assist in client relationship management. Responsibilities
- Manage and update lawyers’ calendars, ensuring all appointments and meetings are scheduled and reminders are sent.
- Open and close files, manage general filing requirements, and maintain accurate record keeping.
- Utilize effective systems to ensure both short- and long-term tasks are completed on time.
- Handle internal and external telephone inquiries, respond appropriately, and ensure timely message delivery.
- Monitor post and emails, ensuring client-related correspondence is directed to the appropriate lawyer if absent.
- Liaise with other administrative support departments on behalf of the lawyers.
- Review correspondence, attachments, reports, and presentations produced by the Document Production team, ensuring quality before passing to lawyers.
- Create and maintain Excel spreadsheets as required.
- Assist lawyers in accurately recording time entries on a daily basis.
- Support lawyers and the billing team by generating prebill financial/time reports and assisting with credit control.
Qualifications
- Legal Administrative Assistant Certificate from an accredited college or university.
- 2-4 years of experience as a Legal Administrative Assistant, ideally within a litigation or dispute resolution setting.
- Accurate typing speed of approximately 60 words per minute.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and legal research tools.
- Excellent telephone manner and competent knowledge of telephone systems.
- A commitment to delivering the highest level of service and maintaining exceptional service standards.
