Senior Accountant

About the Client
Impact Recruitment has partnered with an established media company in the Fraser Valley area that is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant. The ideal candidate is a designated CPA with 4+ years of relevant experience.

About the Position
Reporting to the VP, Finance, the senior accountant will be responsible for managing a team of 4+ accountants, some of the duties include but aren’t limited to:

• Create and post monthly journal entries
• Prepare monthly/ yearly financial statements and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
• Establish and monitor internal controls and streamline accounting policies and procedures.
• Prepare budgets, variance analysis and cashflow statements.
• Prepare year-end working papers and work in collaboration with external auditors for year-end audits.
• Support new system implementation and project selection.
• Supervise and mentor the accounting team
• Ad hoc projects as needed.

Requirements

• Designated CPA
• 5+ years of accounting experience
• 2+ years of leadership experience
• 5 days in office role.

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary: $95,000 to $105,000
• 3 weeks’ vacation
• Extended health and dental.
